StampSnap is a camera app that burns a timestamp, caption and optional compass heading into your photos. This policy describes the current iOS and Android apps. Contact: support@kpstudio.au.
StampSnap processes photos on your device. Photos, captions, logos and the details stamped into them are saved to your photo library or a folder you choose. The app does not upload them to us or anyone else. Device backup services may separately back up your photos according to your device settings.
With your permission, StampSnap uses the camera to take photos and your photo library to save and show them. The optional compass stamp uses your device's heading only, not your location or coordinates, and the heading stays on your device. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
StampSnap uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to receive reports when the app crashes or hits an error, so we can fix reliability problems. A report includes the error and stack trace, device model and operating-system version, app version and build, and pseudonymous installation identifiers. These identifiers tell installations apart; they are not advertising identifiers or account names. Firebase also records when the app starts and moves to the background, to group crash statistics into sessions. Reports never include your photos, captions, logos, folder names or location.
Crash reporting runs automatically; there is currently no in-app switch. Google states that Crashlytics keeps crash traces and their installation identifiers for 90 days before starting removal. See Firebase privacy information.
If you choose to contact support, StampSnap prepares an email in your own mail app. The draft includes the device model, operating-system version, app version and build. You can edit or remove these details, and nothing is sent until you send it. We then receive the email and your email service's normal sender details.
StampSnap offers optional one-time tips through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never receive your card or bank details. The app uses the store's transaction status on your device to complete the tip. It does not send purchase information to us. Tips do not unlock features, content or services.
On iOS, eligible new installations may start a seven-day free trial of new photo capture and optionally purchase a permanent unlock through Apple. There is no subscription or automatic charge. Apple processes purchases; StampSnap does not receive payment-card details. StampSnap uses verified Apple transaction information and an on-device access record to determine trial dates, unlock status and restoration. No new developer purchase server or third-party purchase analytics are used.
Existing and uncertain installations retain free access. Reinstalling or changing devices may lose free legacy access; eligible paid unlocks can be restored using the Apple Account that purchased them. Existing images remain available to view and export after a trial ends. Editing requires the retained editable original. App-only images and their originals are retained until deletion; original-retention settings may expire editable originals of linked Photos images while keeping stamped images. Android remains free. Optional tips remain separate from the iOS unlock.
StampSnap may occasionally show Apple's or Google's own rating prompt. The store handles it, and we do not learn who rated the app.
We use Google Firebase (Crashlytics) for crash reports, Apple and Google Play for distribution, payments and ratings, and your email provider for support email. Network services receive the connection information they need to operate, such as IP addresses. Provider information: Google, Apple.
StampSnap has no advertising and no accounts, and we do not sell personal information or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Photos remain on your device and in any backups you keep. Support emails are kept to resolve your request; crash-report retention is described above. Service providers may process data outside Australia. To ask about access, correction or deletion, email support@kpstudio.au. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.
StampSnap is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact support so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
We update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above.
